About This Spot

Stepping into Sedona Taphouse in Troy, you’re greeted by the warmth of a space that feels both inviting and unpretentious—a perfect blend of a neighborhood gathering spot and a lively beer hall. The atmosphere strikes a thoughtful balance where casual conversations hum gently alongside the clinking of glasses, creating a mood that’s relaxed yet alive with quiet energy. Whether you settle in on the rooftop patio or inside among the rich wood tones and soft lighting, the pace encourages lingering, sharing moments, and savoring the details.

Here, the menu is a quietly confident mix of New American flavors with imaginative touches that invite both curiosity and comfort. From the richness of a devilishly indulgent pasta to the subtle playfulness of a prickly pear margarita, every bite and sip feels curated to enhance the experience without overwhelming it. The craft beers and thoughtfully assembled beer flights add to that sense of community, encouraging exploration and easy conversation. Signature dishes like truffle fries dusted with just the right amount of cheese or the zesty Southwest wings suggest a kitchen that’s both grounded in tradition and unafraid to take creative turns.

The team behind Sedona Taphouse seems to carry a genuine pride in making guests feel seen—even in the moments when service rhythms ebb and flow, there’s a welcoming kindness that threads through the experience. Guests often find themselves returning, drawn back by the friendly energy, the inviting ambiance, and the simple joy of good food shared with good company. It’s the kind of place where a casual lunch can turn into a memorable evening, and where familiar faces are just as welcome as first-timers discovering a new favorite.

Quiet attention to detail extends beyond the plate to the atmosphere itself: music that complements rather than competes, an approachable service style, and seating that adapts to whatever weather or mood you bring. Whether dropping in for a quick bite or settling in for an anniversary dinner, Sedona Taphouse feels like a warm invitation to pause, connect, and enjoy the honest pleasures of good food and drink.

The hostess stand was extremely welcoming and friendly — whoever was working this evening did a great job setting a positive tone right from the start. Unfortunately, the service at the table didn’t quite match that same level. We were celebrating an anniversary, which the hostess kindly mentioned to our server, but it was never acknowledged. No small gesture, no dessert, not even a "Happy Anniversary," which felt like a missed opportunity to make the evening feel special. The server didn’t seem very attentive, even though the terrace wasn’t particularly busy. It felt like she was more focused on turning over tables quickly. When I asked about a pasta dish, she told me that another table had just sent it back — which didn’t exactly inspire confidence. She also didn’t seem very familiar with the menu overall. As for the food — it was good! I had the salmon, which was well-cooked, though I wish the skin had been removed beforehand. The mashed potatoes were tasty, but the broccoli was under-seasoned. My boyfriend had the steak tacos and enjoyed them, though he wished there were three instead of two. Overall, I’d come back, mostly thanks to the ambiance and that great first impression from the hostess. But there’s definitely room for improvement, especially when it comes to making guests feel valued and special.

Great food and loved the rooftop patio. My husband and I visited here for the first time tonight and while there were some challenges that led to a conversation with the manager, the matter was handled with professionalism and kindness which redeemed the experience and I’m therefore happy to give 5 stars and will return again soon. Makayla is a great server, and “Thank you” to the excellent female manager on duty the evening of 9/14/25 who made our experience a success.

We were in town and found this place. I ordered the pasta and the ingredients were very basic but they somehow made this my favorite pasta dish I have had in a very long time. Had it been acceptable I would have licked the bowl clean. If I make it back to Detroit in the future I will go out of my way to stop in for either lunch or dinner. Everyone else at the table said their food was very good as well.

I came here for my first time for my birthday celebration. The atmosphere was nice, good music and it wasn't too loud. We were seated outside but had to quickly move inside due to the rain. I applaud their team for finding us a seat as quickly as they did given its sweetest day weekend. Everyone in my group loved our food. My food came out exactly how I wanted it. I ordered the southwest wings as an app, the chuckawalla chicken with a prickly pear margarita and the salted caramel cheesecake for my dessert. Not gona lie that was thee smallest slice of cheesecake I've ever seen lol but it was good.

I enjoyed eating here yesterday. The waiter didn’t listen well about that I didn’t want any tomatoes but other than that I have no complaints. The salmon, roasted Brussels sprouts, mashed potatoes and Marguerite flatbread were all good. I also always enjoy the lemon basil drink I always order too.

Came here 2 nights in a row for dinner. First night, New England Clam Chowder... OFF THE HOOK!!! Tons of clams and bacon, delicious broth, 10/10! Had the Flat Iron Steak with fries and spinach, everything was delicious and I am very leary of ordering steaks at restaurants... Second night had the New England Clam Chowder AGAIN and then the Crab Cake dinner, it was great as well! Lots of crab and a delicious remoulade sauce on the side, the fries are great as well! One of my very favorite restaurants when I'm in the area! Great atmosphere, great food, great drinks and great prices. Definitely worth giving it a try if you've never been, you will not be disappointed!

My wife, daughter, and I visited on a Friday night for happy hour. We were pleasantly surprised by how spacious the restaurant was, with plenty of seating available. We were seated upstairs, which was perfect since we had our toddler with us. We ordered a tequila mule, house wine, Thai shrimp, BBQ chicken flatbread, tacos, truffle fries, and mac and cheese for our daughter. Everything was really good, but the Thai shrimp was our absolute favorite! Our server was friendly, timely, and very welcoming. We also loved the portion sizes for the price — great value for happy hour. We’ll definitely be coming back!
